Avishan Saberian is a NCCAOM Board-Certified Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), Board-Certified Buteyko Breathing Educator (BBE) and Tibetan Healing Yoga (Nejang) Instructor in Olympia, WA.

Avishan earned her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the National University of Natural Medicine and her Bachelors of Science in Organismal Biology from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. During her five and a half years of training in Classical Chinese Medicine, Avishan completed coursework in basic and specialized sciences and a variety of energetic and therapeutic modalities. In addition to the over 4,000 didactic and clinical hours in Chinese medical theory, acupuncture, herbalism, dietetics, Avishan also pursued training in bodywork, energy healing and Shen-Hammer pulse diagnosis, and completed two year long mentorships with Dr. Sheila Murphy and Brandt Stickley L.Ac.

Her great interest in breathing and nurturing the body’s natural healing ability led Avishan to begin her in depth studies of Taiji Master Pikshan Ko in 2010. Since 2015, she has been teaching Taiji. Before leaving Portland Avishan also trained with naturopathic physician Dr. Sussanna Czeranko in the Buteyko Breathing Method. In 2018, Avishan began studying Nanopuncture - a neuroscience based acupuncture system with the founder Dr. Clayton Shui L.Ac. Nanopuncture is a modern version of Xing Nao Kai Qiao - the most famous and reputable Stroke acupuncture system in China. Avishan continues to study Nanopuncture with Dr, Shiu and has under his tutelage focused on treating stroke rehabilitation In the areas of Speech Paralysis, Apraxia, Dysarthria, and Dysphagia.

Avishan’s healing and teaching practice is deeply influenced by her practice of Vajrayana Buddhism, as taught by her teachers Lama Tsering Wangdu Rinpoche, a master of the Shije Chod lineage and Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, a traditional Tibetan physician and lineage holder of the Yuthok Nyingthig, the unique spiritual tradition connected with Tibetan Medicine.
